This morning Ollie followed me into the garage when I was going to work. I figured I'd put my stuff in the car and then open the door and he'd go back in the house, but he refused to come anywhere near the door. He seemed determined not to let me go to work. But there's nothing a little cheese in a kong can't fix. Yay for food motivated dogs.

This wishbone is from a teeny little chicken from our farm share that went into out Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve chicken pot pies. I decided that today was the day to finally make wishes, so I called Ben into the kitchen, we made our wishes, and then this happened. Ben was sooo sad. Whatever, we already have all the wonderfulness we need from life.

Group of people and dogs who I love so much.

Fiveish years ago, I worked at a school and residential treatment center for behaviorally disordered teenagers. It was stressful for a whole number of reasons, and one of my coworkers and I would spend time making each other laugh on a regular basis. I'm not sure where this doll came from, but we began adorning her in hilarious and borderline inappropriate ways at some point as part of our fun. I can't begin to explain why, but this was an amazingly good release. Notice she's wearing a properly tied harness and chest harness. Well, I was unpacking boxes that had never been unpacked at our old house and found her. She is now somewhere in a trash heap, but I took pictures so I'll always remember "Baby."
