After looking far and wide for a tree that we didn't hate, we found a whole farm of trees we really liked, then in their $5 "Charlie Brown tree" section, we found this tree, which we actually consider absolutely perfect for us.

Oh, and I love to cuddle two dogs at once (and to have dogs on my computer screen at the same time).

Went on a 24 hour trip to DC to see the MLK memorial with a group of students in a bus. Literally left at 3 am and got back and 3 am. It was awesome, but exhausting.

New couch!!!!

Actually, the first new couch we got didn't fit in the door to our house when we got it delivered, so they brought it back to the store and we picked out this one... We kind of knew the first one wasn't going to fit - it was the biggest couch humanly imaginable, and there's no room to get much of anything in our front door... But we liked it so much that we tried anyway... So here's our runner up, with Ollie as adornment.

The kitchen in our house was not exactly what I'd call clean. Here is one of the many artifacts of previous inhabitants that we found as we scoured it before we unpacked our boxes.

We moved into our new house in central New York with the help of some of Ben's students. In the course of moving us in, they accidently put a hole in the ceiling with our couch. Whoops! (Now that we're moving out (November 2012), we're thinking about fixing it...)
