Ben was overjoyed that Ollie likes to play with his floppy frisbee. (It looks like Ollie is catching it in the air, but I'm pretty sure he was just playing with it like he plays with seaweed...)

Free anniversary cake for Thanksgiving/Ben's birthday. Yum.

Today,

I washed the pots and pans,

Ben swept up the remains of Mr. Fluffyface,

And Ollie got ready to attack the broom.

Ollie and I had a photo shoot in the car while Ben registered his car.

pumpkin pies and pumpkin cake = good use of farm pumpkin, raw milk, and eggs

chicken pot pie = good use of farm vegetables, chicken, and gravy made with a soup bone from our last beef pick up

Three weird shaped carrots. I accidently broke one, though. Oh, and don't make Ben look at them. He doesn't like it.

Ollie grew out of his old collar, so we bought him a new one (He's so preppy!). We also bought him a ham bone, which, after reading horror stories on the internet, I took away so he wouldn't get sick or die.

I made a sculpture out of a paper clip during class. It took a bunch of different forms. This was not my favorite, but it is the one that I got a picture of.

My hair got LONG!

Ollie seemed displeased with the position or fluffiness factor of his bed this morning:

Ollie finally got all the cotton out of his toy. It's taken him over three months.

Then Ollie played with his bed. I quite enjoy this progression of pictures:

Ben loves to force Ollie into squirmy cuddles. Ollie loves to try to escape.

Totally amazing lunch. Eggs with parmesan and emmental and maple apple chicken sausage.

We had a work date with our friend F tonight and got lots done. In addition, Ollie showed us what a good caver he is when his tennis ball went under the futon.

This is Ollie saying, "Hi. I'm a dog."

Ollie started playing around near Ben's stuff and somehow ended up carrying this bag around with him. He was totally freaked out and it was HILARIOUS!

Chinese food delivery. Yummy but:

1. The delivery guy complained about everything. The fact that he supposedly couldn't find the number on our house, even though he's been here before and I gave good directions in the phone, the fact that our stairs are steep, the fact that when it's winter they'll be slippery...

2. I was sick to my stomach in the middle of the night...

We may not order from this place again.

You wanted to see my garbage, right? This garbage is remarkable because it holds:

1. the vacuumed up remnants of Ollie's former pillow

2. my friend S's former La Crueset casserole top that fell off our kitchen counter last night :(

3. the frisbee we let Ollie chew up this week so he wouldn't chew his bowl (He suddenly looked like he was going to puke a couple days ago, so I shoved the frisbee under his mouth and after he puked into it, I didn't know what to do with it, so I threw it out.)

4. lots of assorted regular trash

Also, today's Ollie's half birthday! We got him doggie frozen yogurt (papaya and peanut butter flavor) to celebrate.

Ollie seems to be feeling better (good enough to reconfigure his bed, at least...)

Ben, not so much.

Also, I bought an ear thermometer today because the supermarket was all out of regular thermometers, and it told me that I had anywhere from temperature of 99 to a temperature of 102. Either way, I felt crappy, and consider myself mildly ill...

Ben stayed home sick from conference #2, and Ollie's got a tummy ache (which I'm trying to remedy by replacing half his food with rice and giving him pumpkin puree ice cubes).

Then he made chocolate guinness cake again. Yum.

And for the first course of our anniversary dinner, I made Vichyssoise... (potato leek soup) I looked for a third funny named thing to complete the trifecta of funny named foods... But since we were eating year old wedding cake for dessert, we had to forego the tarte tatin or creme brulee... Oh! But our wine was funny named... "Menage a Trois"
